A challenge...

Find Me Here, Speak To Me...
I want to feel you, I need to hear you.
You are the light that's leading me to the place where I find peace again.

You are the strength, that keeps me walking.
You are the hope, that keeps me trusting.
You are the light to my soul.
You are my purpose...you're everything.

How can I stand here with you and not be moved by you?
Would you tell me how could it be any better than this?

You calm the storms, and you give me rest.
You hold me in your hands, you won't let me fall.
You steal my heart, and you take my breath away.
Would you take me in? Take me deeper now?

How can I stand here with you and not be moved by you?
Would you tell me how could it be any better than this?

Cause you're all I want, You're all I need
You're everything,everything

You're everything, everything.

Laughter in Every Language

So I cried for a good 20 minutes today after watching this 1:40min clip. Wow.  I don't remember the last time I laughed this hard.

For a good time, visit: YouTube

In other news, my classes are still messed up, as are last semester's grades.  Work's goin ok, I love my roomies. My colloquium class is INCREDIBLE.  I've decided I'm running for president. And I blame Dr. Howard. haha  Look out world, Here's the new motivated, driven Sarah Oden!!! haha
Step one: (cut a hole in the box, lol) Figure out what I'm doing after graduation. Yay God for the peace that I have right now- I could be freaking out.  But I'm not, and it's great.  Got some ideas that I'm excited about. Will keep you updated on upcoming plans.

Sorry so boring.

Thank you for your prayers and concern. I'm all better... Didn't eat for like, 2 weeks (The tomato soup, apple juice diet is FANTASTIC! lost 15 pounds...) but now I'm good and catching up on my lack of food. :)

Yay for school starting... I have a strange semester, not quite sure how it'll fall into place (Colloquium, Research, Latin, Art Therapy and some form of capstone.) But it'll be good.

While I don't have a buttload of HW, I've enjoyed watching what my dad's TIVO'd for me. If you have time, Check out the NOVA website and watch the Aging or Profile segment. WOW. Absolutely incredible. I have such a passion for medical research and all the new advancements in science... Too bad I'm really bad at it. I just love learning about it. Call me a nerd, I know...But wow. If they can stop communication between bacteria to prevent disease...?  Or increase your intake of a certain chemical (in red wine) and live 10-20% longer? WOW. I love it.

Edmond's out of school again. That's dumb. OU's provost is from Syracuse- she doesn't realize we're Oklahomans. we don't do ice.

Have a great week, friends! Six days till my 21st birthday!

Recovery...

Welp, went back to the hospital this morning to have surgery.... Mom woke me up at 8 saying that she was staying home from work to take me in for surgery in an hour or so.  What a LOVELY thing to wake up to, huh?
Anyway, it went really well- it pays to have the "Director of Surgery" as your mom. haha  They knocked me out GOOD and gave me some great painkillers, again.  Dr. Clark said that there was NO way he could have gotten all of it the first time and the spot he needed to remove was waaaaay back there.  But after diggin around, he found it and got my tonsils taken care of.  He almost just removed them (which I would have DEFINITELY been okay with) but he said the risk was too high since I already had an infection and stuff.  I got a full meal from an IV (finally! I've been really hungry) and they let me go home around 2:00 today.  I feel a whole lot better now and can swallow pretty well.  Still not up for solids yet.  but I'm totally rockin the apple juice and tomato soup.
Unfortunately, I'm having to reschedule all the rest of my finals... I hope to get them taken by Friday to avoid getting "incompletes" and finishing them up in january. OIY!  And I'm also not allowed to work for a few days, too.  So that kinda sucks for my Gap kids.
Anyway, thanks for your concern- and for Brad and Daniel drivin up to visit me! (Too bad they had already released me! haha)  Have a great end of the week and hang in there! Almost done!

Good news!  It's not mono! WHOOO HOOO!!
Bad news... I'm in serious amounts of pain right now because it's NOT.

I went to Goddard yesterday and the first PA looked at my throat and went "oh my gosh..."  and brought a doctor in. The doctor looked at my throat and went "oh wow. yeah....." (NOT a good sign! I was kinda freakin out.)  They said it looks like a paritonsular absess. I had NO idea what that meant, but they sent me to an ENT doctor. I called my mom to tell her what was going on and she about had a cow and told me to come up to Saint Anthony's (where she works) and see one of HER doctors. So I did that, met my daddy there, too and saw Dr. Clark, who looked at my throat and proceded to say "That's an ewie right there..."  lol Umm....?
What had happened was I had a virus that made my tonsils swell up (Which started LAST sunday.)  Then on top of that, I got a bacterial infection.  He said it couldn't have been helped- Even if I had been taking antibiotics already, I still would have gotten it... Weird.
What he had to do was numb my tonsils (by spraying stuff then giving me about 10 SHOTS of numbing drugs which KILLED!!! Holy COW!) and then proceded to stab at my tonsils with a very thick needle looking for the infection to remove it.  Process took about 15minutes and was scarey and painful. I was NOT having a good time. and the bummer about it is that I'm still in huge amounts of pain.  He gave me drugs so that was nice.
I got to eat last night.... chicken broth, that is. haha I was WAAAY hungry.  and if the swelling doesn't go down today and I'm still running a fever, I have to go BACK in for him to do it all again (this time would be under anesthesia WHEW!)  Anyway, definitely not a cool thing with finals this week. But I'm in edmond, with my mother hovering and my dad calling every 10 minutes just to check. lol  Too bad I can't talk!! haha
Anyway, Evaren wins cuz she said "other." hahaha  Thanks for your concern guys and I hope to be back in Norman, in tip-top shape to rock a latin and perspectives final tomorrow. (ew...)
